PISCATAWAY, NJ — The Center for Real Estate at Rutgers Business School, a rising academic program positioned to transform and inspire the next generation of real estate leaders, announced the appointment of Sanford Herrick, founder and managing principal of Case Real Estate Capital, LLC, to its Advisory Board. The Center for Real Estate at Rutgers Business School is predicated on its ability to bring together the real estate industry’s brightest and most influential executives to interact with students and set the academic course for the Center. Advisory Board members were carefully selected and represent a diverse group of leaders in a variety of fields related to the real estate industry. As a member of the Center’s Advisory Board, Herrick will serve as a vital conduit of information, knowledge and best practices, fostering productive discussion among students, industry peers, government and academia. Members of the Advisory Board share a common goal of fostering productive discussion in order to advance the study of real estate and to meet the evolving needs of a diverse student population by providing real-world experiences and collegial access to the top minds in real estate. “We are going to rely on our Advisory Board members to bring practical and real world knowledge and experiences from every sector of our industry into our Center with the goal of providing the most advanced and innovative curriculum and the most important and timely research available for real estate,” said Morris A. Davis, the Paul V. Profeta Chair and Academic Director of the Center for Real Estate at Rutgers Business School. “The consolidation and dissemination of this knowledge will serve as a focal point for addressing New Jersey’s, and subsequently the country’s, difficult and complex business and real estate issues, and will inspire the next generation of real estate leaders.” “It’s a privilege to work with fellow Advisory Board members on advancing the study of real estate and focus on two fundamental real estate challenges in New Jersey and beyond – supply chain/industrial real estate and public policy/urban redevelopment,” said Herrick. “I look forward to collaborating with members on sharing our knowledge and real-world best practices while fostering discussions among industry members, business school students and those in the academic community.” The Center for Real Estate at Rutgers Business School was established in 2014 as a rising academic program positioned to transform and inspire the next generation of real estate leaders. The Center’s Advisory Board is comprised of the most knowledgeable and successful real estate professionals, in both academic study and in real world practice, and is dedicated to creating and cultivating a collaborative community of industry thought leaders.n
