Colliers International’s NJ operations adds Berardi

Parsippany, NJ — As Colliers International continues to bolster its robust line of services, the firm has announced that Cesare Berardi has joined its New Jersey operations as director of project management. The highly-respected and accomplished industry veteran with more than 40 years of experience in project management –– ranging from real estate planning, design, and construction to the strategic capital planning of projects in both the public and private sector –– will focus on enhancing Colliers’ project management practice in New Jersey, while also working closely with the project management team in New York.

In his new role with Colliers, Berardi will oversee project management assignments; provide counsel to the firm’s brokers, their clients, and potential new clients on design, engineering, and construction; and advise on the benefits and capabilities of applicable state incentives.

Previously, Berardi served as VP of project management for Foit-Albert Associates where he was responsible for overseeing all aspects of project management in the development of the Port Authority of New York & NJ’s headquarters and police department at the World Trade Center.

Berardi also managed the overall renovation of Verizon’s 1.4 million s/f facility in Basking Ridge. Prior to that, he served as VP of global real estate for JP Morgan Chase, where he managed capital projects with a $100 to $200 million annual budget.

“Cesare’s extensive knowledge and depth of experience will be a significant resource for our team,” said David A. Simon, SIOR, executive managing director and head of Colliers International’s New Jersey operations. “Expanding our project management practice will enable us to offer enhanced real estate solutions to our clients and customers.”

“Cesare is a seasoned leader in the industry who will bring tremendous value to the growth of our project management practice across the Northeast region,” said Jonathan Winikur, executive managing director and head of Colliers International’s project management practice in the Northeast.
