Philadelphia, PA — AKF Group announced that Walt Herring has joined the AKF Technologies Group as a senior telecommunication engineer in the firm’s Philadelphia office. He brings 20 years of experience in Information Technology Infrastructure Design and Consulting to his new position, particularly for Mission Critical facilities. Herring formerly served, from April 2014 to present, as senior technical advisor for C&C Technology Group and was director of the Integrated Technology Design Group at Bala Consulting Engineers for 13 years. “Walt is a welcome addition to our team,” said Greg Roberts, partner and director of AKF’s Technologies Group. “His stellar reputation and experience in all phases of technology service delivery bring added depth and capability to our practice as we further enhance our expertise in the Mid-Atlantic Region”.
Mr. Herring is a Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) and a recognized expert in the IT industry. His work has been extensively published and he is a nationally recognized speaker and lecturer at professional symposiums including BICSI, AFCOM and 7x24 Exchange.
