Gerard Construction completes two projects totaling 127,000 s/f


Central, NJ — Gerard Construction Corp., a full service commercial general contracting and construction management company serving clients in the Tri-State area, has completed two significant projects this month.

A ceremonial ribbon cutting was held on Friday, May 20, 2016 for Xscape Theatre in Howell, New Jersey. This state of the art cinema is a 60,000 s/f, 1,598 seat ground up construction project. In an aggressive construction schedule Gerard Construction completed the contemporary 14 high definition auditoriums including two studios that are 3 stories high, offering 3D capable projection, 4K Digital Projection, Dolby Atmos Surround Sound utilizing over 50 Speakers per studio. All theatres feature wide body Leather Electric Reclining Chairs with plenty of leg room and, for added customer convenience, Kiosks to purchase tickets allowing you to skip the line. Xscape Theatre has set the standard for first class entertainment.

ShopRite Supermarket in Staten Island, New York is expected to open by Fourth of July. This grand 67,000 s/f ground up construction project includes an elevator accessible mezzanine level, an International Food Court, Reggiano’s Pizza with wood burning pizza ovens, a full service pharmacy and a Dunkin Donuts. Corporate headquarters for the Shoprite chain franchisee is incorporated into the mezzanine level. According to ShopRite’s website, owners belong to the Wakefern Food Corporation, which “buys, warehouses and transports products while providing other support services to ensure customer satisfaction” and enables member stores, through “volume” buying, to “offer their consumers the lowest overall prices, and the greatest value, in the marketplace.”
