Jersey City, NJ – DeSimone Consulting Engineers announced that Harborside Plaza VII at 200 Greene St. in Jersey City was selected by The New Jersey Concrete Awards Committee to receive the organization’s top prize, the 2016 Grand Award. The 700-foot, 70-story residential tower is part of Ironstate’s and Mack-Cali’s Harborside development and is the first of three buildings that will significantly change Jersey City’s skyline in the coming years. The 800,000 s/f tower includes 539 apartments, a landscaped outdoor amenity deck and pool, a parking garage, and commercial and retail space. The first tenants are expected to move in later this year. “DeSimone is honored to receive the NJCA’s Grand Award for our work on Harborside Plaza VII,” said Benjamin Downing, principal and project director of Harborside Plaza VII. “We are excited about the continued growth and development in Jersey City and are proud to contribute the city’s growth and reputation as great place to live, work, and play.” The New Jersey Concrete Awards are held to recognize outstanding concrete construction projects in the State of New Jersey. More than 400 members of the concrete industry are expected to attend this year’s ceremony.
