Glassboro, NJ — Wright Commissioning, the Philadelphia region’s first independent, MBE building commissioning firm, is pleased to announce that it has been selected to retro-commission the HVAC systems for the Henry M. Rowan College of Engineering at Rowan University in Glassboro. “Rowan needed retro-commissioning services to optimize the performance of Henry M. Rowan Hall’s nearly 20-year-old building systems,” said Kim Wright, CEO of Wright Commissioning. “As home to multiple engineering disciplines, it is critical that Rowan Hall’s HVAC systems perform as efficiently and sustainably as possible.” Rowan Hall was a state-of-the-art facility when it opened in 1998, with resource channels for technology, gases and liquids; flexible teaching labs outfitted with potable smart benches; and significant sustainable features within its nearly 100,000 s/f structure. As with all complex, retro-commissioning projects, Wright Commissioning will review the existing operations and maintenance; interview users of the building; physically test the systems under a variety of extreme conditions; make adjustments and implement corrective actions; and issue a report with recommendations to further optimize the building. The commissioning report on Rowan Hall is expected to be issued in the fall 2016. Wright has considerable experience with laboratories and higher education facilities, having completed commissioning projects for Princeton, Penn, Temple, Villanova, the College of Charleston, Haverford, Rutgers, West Chester, Widener, the Wistar Institute, West Pharmaceutical, and the Hospital of the University of PA among others.
