HARRISBURG, PA — Poole Anderson Construction announced that Wayne Lapradd has joined the operations department as a superintendent. Lapradd will provide leadership and direction to our on-site construction teams with responsibility for communicating with all levels, meeting schedule requirements, ensuring safety regulations, and resolving critical issues. Previously a field manager at Rocket Drywall, Lapradd brings 23 years of construction management experience, successfully motivating teams to exceed expectations while maintaining high quality standards on large scale residential and commercial projects. “Wayne’s experience and skill set suits our team well,” said John Lehmann, Senior Vice President. “I am looking forward to working with Wayne, ensuring that we continue to build a strong field operation delivering quality projects for our Central PA clients and partners.” Poole Anderson Construction recently broke ground on the new Sheetz Operations Center and Day care facilities located in the Martin J. Marasco Business Park, Claysburg. The Altoona- Blair County Development Corporation (ABCD Corp.) held a dedication event for the Martin J. Marasco Business Park. Stakeholders celebrated groundbreaking ceremonies for Central States Manufacturing, Inc. and the Sheetz Store Operations, Learning Center and Daycare Complex. Combined these projects represent one-third of the park’s developable land. The Sheetz project is a $40 million investment for a store operations and learning center along with a separate day care center for Sheetz employees with an expected completion near the end of 2017. Joe Sheetz, president and CEO, highlighted this new operations facility as furthering the commitment to growing the Sheetz brand and operations. The Martin J. Marasco Business Park is ABCD Corp.’s eighth business/industrial park in Blair County and covers 95 acres of developable land situated off I-99.
