Cushman & Wakefield Grant Street Associates works with COTERIE

Pittsburgh, PA — COTERIE Co., a indoor/outdoor co-working space for women, has executed a 10-year lease to occupy the entire 20th floor of the Frick Building, 437 Grant St. Joanna Bailey, COTERIE founder and CEO, who worked with Rob Geiger and Tim Goetz of Cushman & Wakefield Grant Street Associates to select the space at the Frick Building, says that COTERIE Pittsburgh’s 13,028 s/f location will offer a strong growth opportunity for the women of Western Pennsylvania. “COTERIE’s mission is to elevate, educate and empower female entrepreneurs while encouraging community engagement.” Bailey said. Each COTERIE location offers a virtual global community, co-working memberships, social and professional events, and business meetings/offsite options. In addition, each location will have unique elements specific to their particular membership and market. For example, Bailey said the Pittsburgh office is set to host a start-to-finish, non-partisan Election Day party as one of its kick-off events. “The only requirement to attend is an ‘I Voted’ sticker,” she said. Mini Coterie, as it is aptly named, will operate from temporary space on the ninth floor of the Frick Building while construction is completed in the penthouse. In addition to COTERIE’s meeting opportunities, the permanent space will include a meditation room, indoor and outdoor gathering spaces, a writer’s suite and closing rooms. According to Aaron Stauber, CEO of Rugby Realty: “This is a terrific tenant, and exactly in keeping with our goal of providing today’s modern, corporate and tech tenants with creative space. The top floor of the Frick Building was in very high demand - we concluded this transaction before the current tenant had even vacated - and COTERIE Co.’s plans for the space and its outdoor decks will really transform the space.” Stauber also noted that more than 68,000 rentable s/f of new and extended leases have been executed at the Frick Building this year, with COTERIE’s space being the last full floor available for several quarters. CBRE’s Tim McCarthy and Jeremy Kronman handle the leasing at the property.
