WOODBRIDGE, NJ — The Kislak Company, Inc. announced the recipients of its 2017 sales awards at the firm’s annual awards ceremony, which was held on January 5, 2018. Senior vice president Robert Squires received both the Producer of the Year award and Sima Kislak Jelin Salesperson of the Year awards. Executive vice president Peter Wisniewski received the Transactions award, and sales associates Stephen Gianis and Thomas Scatuorchio received the Rising Star awards. “2017 was an extremely successful year for Kislak,” said Robert Holland, president. “Many of our salespeople had the best 12 months of their careers and our awards recipients were truly exceptional and well-deserving of their achievements. “ Kislak’s Producer of the Year award is presented to the individual who generated the highest sales volume during the past year. Robert Squires had an extraordinary 2017. He closed more than 30 transactions including the sale of five separate multifamily portfolios in New Jersey, among other properties, and his individual sales exceeded $100 million. Squires also earned the historic distinction of becoming Kislak’s all-time leading salesperson in any calendar year during Kislak’s 112-year history. The Sima Kislak Jelin Salesperson of the Year award is presented to the individual whose performance and professionalism during the past year demonstrated the highest standards of excellence for which Kislak is known. The recipient is chosen by a vote of the sales and management teams. The award is named after the late Mrs. Jelin, who was an executive, key mentor, and motivator to countless salespeople; and the daughter of the firm’s founder, J.I. Kislak. Given Squires’ extraordinary year, he also received this prestigious award by an overwhelming vote of his peers for the second year in a row. Squires joined Kislak in 2003 and specializes in the sale of multifamily and other investment properties throughout northern New Jersey. He is one of Kislak’s leading salespeople with northern New Jersey investment sales totaling more than $650 million. The Transactions award is presented to the individual who closed the most transactions during the past year. Peter Wisniewski also had an extraordinary 2017 and was the deserving recipient of this award with more than 40 closed lease and sales transactions in New Jersey throughout the year. Wisniewski’s transactions included the sale of a 219-unit multifamily development in downtown Rahway and the sale and leasing of various industrial and office buildings in Somerset and Union Counties. Wisniewski joined Kislak in 2015 and runs the firm’s commercial sales and leasing division. Throughout his career, Wisniewski has leased or sold more than eight million s/f of commercial space and well over 1,000 acres of land and is actively growing Kislak’s presence in the New Jersey commercial real estate market. Kislak’s Rising Star award is presented to newer salespeople who recorded the greatest achievements during the past year. Gianis joined Kislak in 2016 and specializes in commercial sales and leasing in northern and central New Jersey under Wisniewski’s tutelage. Gianis recently closed on five industrial and office transactions for Tulfra Realty and procured several new office and medical tenants at the Murray Hill Office Center and Murray Hill Plaza South in New Providence. Scatuorchio also joined Kislak in 2016 and specializes in investment sales in northern New Jersey. His recent transactions include the sale of mixed-use and multifamily investment properties in both Morris and Essex counties.
