Kislak Family Foundation Awards $50,000 Grant to Habitat for Humanity of Greater Newark

NEWARK, NJ — Habitat for Humanity of Greater Newark is pleased to announce a $50,000 grant from the Kislak Family Foundation of Miami Lakes, Florida. The grant will support the building or rehabbing of homes to benefit low- to moderate-income families in Essex, Hudson, and Union counties. “New Jersey is a great place to live and work,” said Jason Pucci, COO of New Jersey-based The Kislak Company, Inc. “Since our company’s founding as a real estate brokerage firm in Hoboken in 1906, we’ve been involved in nearly all aspects of the NJ real estate market. We see this grant as continuing our late Chairman Jay Kislak’s legacy of mindful and meaningful philanthropy through supporting home ownership in the state where our company began.” Habitat of Greater Newark’s latest projects include two new homes in Livingston, and Critical Repair programs in the cities of East Orange, Elizabeth, and Jersey City. Over 100 families have benefited from Habitat of Greater Newark homes built with generous donations from individuals, families, corporations, foundations and faith-based organizations and with support from thousands of volunteers and other local non-profit organizations over the years.
