The Atlantic’s Atmos Home system sets standard for indoor environments in post-pandemic apt. buildin

As architects and developers opine on what the future holds for homes in the post-pandemic world, two key areas of focus include increasing access to the outdoors and enhancing home technology with a focus on resident wellbeing. Even when the mandate of social distancing eventually lifts, the idea of crowded areas such as multifamily property amenity spaces will still raise some concerns. Indoor environments will also be assessed more closely, and there will be an increased focus on high-tech air filtration systems that will become a must-have apartment feature.Urban residents are already seeking apartment communities with these features, and the demand for move-in-ready buildings (not developments with improved amenities “coming soon”) is rising. The Atlantic apartments in Center City Philadelphia is ahead of the curve, particularly when it comes to outdoor amenities - it already boasts an expansive rooftop deck complete with an outdoor kitchen and dining area; lap pool and hot tub; dog park; and a children’s play and splash area.
