Chesapeake, VA — Divaris Real Estate announces the renewal and expansion of the United States Coast Guard Community Services Command (CSC) lease in the Battlefield Technology Center I, located at 510 Independence Parkway in Chesapeake.

The United States Coast Guard CSC renewed its existing lease and expanded from 23,568 s/f to a total of 46,992 s/f by adding 23,424 s/f of additional space. Gerald Divaris, Chairman and CEO of Divaris Real Estate, negotiated the transaction on behalf of the tenant, and Brian Devlin, senior vice president, Divaris Real Estate, represented the landlord.

The CSC directly manages 66 retail exchange stores, commissaries, and gas stations through a centralized Coast Guard Exchange System (CGX), provides oversight and management to 49 satellite exchanges on ships throughout the Coast Guard, and provides program oversight and funding to Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) programs at over 1200 Coast Guard units globally. The Chesapeake offices are CSC’s headquarters from which they manage and operate the activities and enterprises of CSC.

“Hampton Roads is home to one of the largest military communities in the country. The CSC is an important part of the infrastructure that serves those who serve us,” said Divaris. “The expansion of the CSC in Chesapeake reflects the region’s critical role in supporting our nation’s military operations, service members and their families and reflects the importance of CSC’s role.”
