What is your most notable project, deal or transaction from 2024 thus far?
The deal that comes to mind is a recent one: the $5.5M retail sale of 1825 Route 27 in Edison, NJ where I was part of the NAIDB team representing the seller, Sam Ash Properties Corporation. This 21,924 s/f retail center was known for decades as a hub for beginner musicians and seasoned professionals. As a lifelong local resident myself, who has been a customer at the store, it is a building that has always stood out and it was exciting to be part of the transaction.
What unique qualities and/or personality do you feel makes you most successful in your profession?
Being able to communicate well is an important trait that is necessary for success in this business. To be effective, brokerage professionals need to balance an outgoing demeanor with being a good listener. These characteristics often tend to be more innate, but they are skills that can be enhanced and refined. My desire to absorb industry knowledge and continually learn from my mentors and past experiences has resulted in strong connections with property owners, investors and tenants. As a result, it has ultimately led to obtaining listings and has helped me structure transactions. I value the relationships that I have developed and putting my client’s needs first has enabled business relationships to evolve into personal friendships.
What outside activities do you enjoy during your free time?
I’ve always been a sports enthusiast, from playing sports myself to being a spectator. Competitive by nature, I enjoy these types of activities because they foster a mindset that emphasizes teamwork. I have a specific passion for golf – a sport I credit with reminding me that discipline, practice and patience are imperative on the course and in life in general. Focusing, taking time and making thoughtful decisions are all important lessons.
