Garden Communities Expands Retail Mix at Legacy Place in East Brunswick, NJ

EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ – Four new tenants have joined the retail mix at Garden Communities’ Legacy Place in East Brunswick. The newly developed, 25-acre, town-center-style community features luxury multifamily rentals and 18,000 s/f of ground-floor retail fronting on Tices Lane, just off Rte.18.
Garden Commercial’s Nancy Finkelstein arranged the recent leases, which bring Legacy Place’s retail component to near full occupancy.
Among the new additions, Barkly Pet Grooming & Shop opened this summer at Two Legacy Place. The 1,360 s/f store is a modern pet care destination offering professional dog grooming and a selection of premium pet products. The business specializes in personalized grooming services tailored to each dog’s breed, coat type and lifestyle – with a focus on creating a calm, comfortable experience for every pet.
Also coming soon to Two Legacy Place:
Heated is a new venture from the owners of Dhyana Yoga in North Brunswick. The 1,900 s/f studio will offer heated and non-heated yoga, Pilates, barre and sculpt classes in a welcoming environment.
The DRIPBaR committed to 1,700 s/f, marking the franchise owner’s first location. The cellular wellness concept will offer IV vitamin therapy, IM shots and other treatments designed to support energy, recovery and overall well-being.
Trinity Cafe & Bakery is the first business venture for its owners. The 1,700 s/f shop will feature Mediterranean and Middle Eastern-inspired desserts, specialty coffees and teas.
These personal care and everyday retail businesses join One Legacy Place tenants Legacy Endodontics, Marley and Harley’s Creamery and Confections, Italian restaurant Bonesse’s Tomato Apizza, H2O Nail & Wax Studio, and math and reading enrichment program Kumon.
“Our latest leases round out a curated retail environment we envisioned for Legacy Place, bringing together a mix of dining, wellness and service providers that support the live-play lifestyle while also meeting the everyday needs of the surrounding neighborhood,” said Finkelstein. “Legacy Place is a great illustration of retailers pursuing non-traditional locations and how that is contributing to the sustained success of mixed-use development in dynamic towns like East Brunswick.”
