ARLINGTON, VA — Gilbane Building announced the promotion of Chelsea Beacom to business leader for its Washington, DC metro region operations. Beacom assumes the role following a succession planning process designed to support the Mid-Atlantic division’s continued growth across the region, strengthening Gilbane’s service to clients.

“Chelsea is a proven builder, trusted client partner and respected leader who understands the complexity and opportunity of the DC market,” said Ted Holt, senior vice president for Gilbane’s Mid-Atlantic Division. “Through an unmatched work ethic, humble demeanor and intense commitment to excellence, she has helped deliver some of the region’s most transformative projects while earning the confidence and trust of our clients and partners. She is relentless in developing, promoting and advocating for our team members as they advance in their careers. I’m excited to see how her leadership will influence our future, building on an impressive track record.”

Beacom joined Gilbane more than 15 years ago and built her career managing some of the firm’s most complex projects in the Mid-Atlantic, including the US Diplomacy Center, the Baltimore Ravens M&T Stadium, GSA Hoover Building Renovations, and the country's first six-school P3 program with Prince George’s County Public Schools. Her experience spans a range of project types and client relationships that reflects the breadth of Gilbane’s work throughout the DC region.

“I am truly honored to step into the role of DC Business Leader,” said Beacom. “This opportunity reflects the strength of our business and, most importantly, the exceptional leadership team that has helped build it. We are in a strong position because of the trust we have earned with our clients and partners, the talent of our people and the quality of the work we deliver. I am excited to build on that momentum and help take our DC business to the next level.”

In her new role, Beacom will focus on expanding the company’s market portfolio and service offerings, fostering team development and growth, while delivering world-class facilities for clients and communities in the DC metro area. She will also help advance Gilbane’s long-standing commitment to community engagement and strong project outcomes across the region.
