Baltimore, MD — Greenberg Gibbons announced that more than $10 million of investments are underway at Hunt Valley Towne Centre, Baltimore County’s premier shopping and entertainment destination. The upgrades include a new Plaza that is poised to become a central gathering place for community events and significant modernizations to the Regal movie theatre.

“It’s been 20 years since we’ve transformed the Hunt Valley Towne Centre into a thriving mixed-use destination, and we want to continue being the area’s top gathering place for shopping, family fun, and entertainment experiences,” said Brian Gibbons, chairman and CEO of Greenberg Gibbons. “These investments will add a whole new level of energy and excitement for our guests.”

The new Plaza, located within Hunt Valley’s Main Street corridor and surrounded by two levels of retail, will feature an expansive turf lawn, pergola, comfy seating areas, a retractable 14-foot multimedia screen, and fun games, including seasonal activities. The vibrant gathering place will be a hub for new community and signature events, including the center’s “Friday Night Live” summer concert series, movie nights, and annual holiday tree lighting ceremony. Construction of the Plaza is expected to be completed this fall.

The Regal theatre at Hunt Valley is currently undergoing a major renovation to elevate the moviegoing experience at its 12-screen location. Renovations include fresh exterior upgrades, updated signage, a fully refurbished lobby, an enhanced concessions area featuring the latest digital displays, and convenient self-service ticket kiosks. Each auditorium will be outfitted with new laser projectors, premium recliner seating, and upgraded flooring with luxury vinyl tile and carpet. The renovation is being completed in phases, and the movie theatre will remain open throughout the process.

Additionally, within the past year, a 322-unit Avalon apartment complex and 178-unit Brightview Senior Living community have opened at Hunt Valley Towne Centre.

Hunt Valley Towne Centre has nearly seven million customer visits annually, ranking it in the top 98% of shopping centers in the United States according to Placer.ai. The local and regional mixed-use destination is anchored by Wegmans, Regal, and Onelife Fitness, and offers a wide array of retail and restaurant options, including DSW, Ulta Beauty, HomeGoods, Marshalls, Michael’s, Sammy’s Trattoria II, California Pizza Kitchen, J. Crew Factory, Loft, and more. The center is located six miles north of I-695 on Shawan Rd. between I-83 and York Rd.
