Hankin breaks ground on 7th Keva Flats apartment building, expanding 19-acre community

EXTON, PA — Hankin Group has begun construction on the seventh apartment building at Keva Flats, which will add 72 sustainable apartments to the 266-unit, 19-acre luxury apartment community in Exton. The community is managed by the award winning Hankin Apartments and plans to welcome residents to the newest addition in spring of 2027.

The addition will be a five-story, mid-rise building with a mix of one-, two-, and three-bedroom units ranging from 795 to 1,570 s/f. The modern, pet-friendly apartments will boast ample natural light, luxury vinyl plank flooring, quartz countertops with tile backsplashes, smart lock keyless entry, central air, full-sized washer and dryer, oversized kitchen islands, and more. Residents will also have access to several shared building amenities, including ground-floor garage parking, EV charging, a dog wash station, bicycle storage, and a fire pit and grilling area.

The building is designed to meet LEED Gold certification standards, the second-highest level of green building awarded by the U.S. Green Building Council, with energy-efficient and eco-friendly features, including LED lighting, stainless steel Energy Star appliances, water-conserving bathroom fixtures, and sustainably sourced building materials. Upon certification, this will be the 51st LEED building in Hankin Group’s portfolio.

Residents of the new building will also have access to Keva Flats’ full suite of premium amenities, including the two-story, 11,000 s/f clubhouse; state-of-the-art fitness club with yoga/Pilates studio featuring Wellbeats virtual trainer; resort-style private pool with sun deck, grill stations, lounges, and fire pits; an expansive rooftop terrace and lounge; outdoor multi-sport court; multi-sport simulator room; and bark park for pets. The community also offers flexible workspaces; a resident lounge with entertainment kitchen and bar; private dining and conference rooms; and complimentary coffee bar.

In addition to on-site amenities, Keva Flats is integrated into West Whiteland Twp.’s Chester Valley Trail and residents enjoy access to Main St. at Exton, downtown West Chester, and SEPTA’s Exton Station.

Keva Flats is a sustainable, award-winning luxury apartment community built across seven residential buildings. Once complete, the latest addition will bring Keva Flats to 388 units and mark the conclusion of Phase II, which included one of Chester County’s first floodplain restoration projects and the addition of 96 apartments across two residential buildings. The first residential building delivered in Phase II was a 24-unit building that opened in September 2025.
