Lawson promotes Bradshaw to controller

Norfolk, VA — Lawson announced the promotion of Katherine Bradshaw, CPA, to controller ahead of the planned retirement of Annette Gavrish, CPA, from the role she’s held since 2014.

Bradshaw joined Lawson in September 2023 as assistant controller and has extensive experience in financial reporting, accounting operations, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance. Prior to joining Lawson, she held accounting and financial reporting leadership roles with organizations including Armada Hoffler and Brillio.

As controller, Bradshaw will oversee Lawson’s accounting operations and financial reporting functions while continuing to support the company’s strategic growth initiatives.

“Katherine has already made a significant impact during her time here,” said Austin Pittman, VP and director of development at Lawson. “Her technical expertise, leadership skills, and collaborative approach make her exceptionally well suited for this role.”

Bradshaw is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia and holds a Master of Science in Accounting from Liberty University and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Lipscomb University.
