Harrison of Lee Chesapeake Property Management tapped to oversee new business unit

COLUMBIA, MD — Lee Chesapeake Property Management, the full-service asset and property management division of Lee & Associates | Maryland, has launched a new Maintenance Division serving clients situated throughout the greater Maryland area. Activities of the business unit, which is based in the company’s Towson property management office, will be overseen by Katie Harrison, director of Operations for Lee Chesapeake Property Management. Lee & Associates is a fully-integrated commercial real estate brokerage and management firm headquartered in Columbia, Maryland with 20 full-time commercial real estate professionals.
“Single-sourcing every aspect of asset and property management improves efficiency, provides cost-savings, and assures that building owners and tenants are receiving the highest quality of service,” said Harrison. “The formation of this new business unit represents a natural evolution of what we currently provide to our clients, as well as the ability to proactively track all projects and better serve their interests to minimize problems.”
The Maintenance Division will handle the majority of all carpentry, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing issues required by building tenants and owners, as well as address any emergency and after-hours concerns. All work will be completed by the company’s in-house engineer. Lee Chesapeake Property Management presently provides services for more than two million square feet of commercial office, retail, and warehouse/industrial space.
“Maintaining complete tenant satisfaction is paramount to a real estate services organization, and this new business unit is in direct response to the requests from many clients,” added Harrison, who joined the company in 2011. “Building tenants will no longer need to rely on third-party vendors to complete a task considered an extra or out-of-pocket request. Instead, with one request. Lee Chesapeake Property Management can provide a consistent and trustworthy solution to every maintenance issue.”
She adds that “utilizing a single-source vendor provides consistency to preventative maintenance schedules and operations and improves the operational efficiency of the properties the company manages.”
