BALTIMORE, MD — Morgan C. Gilligan, vice president and division manager of the Mid-Atlantic Commercial division at Stewart Title Guaranty Company, has been appointed to the boards of the Greater Baltimore Committee (GBC) and the Living Classrooms Foundation. His selection reflects both his deep industry experience and his long-standing commitment to strengthening the Baltimore community.
Gilligan, who oversees operations and sales for Stewart Title’s Baltimore and Washington, D.C. commercial markets, representing an average of $4.5 billion in annual transactional volume, has built a career fostering collaboration across the commercial real estate sector. Known for his strategic leadership and highly effective stakeholder engagement, he continues to elevate regional economic development and ensure strong commercial infrastructure throughout the Mid-Atlantic.
The Greater Baltimore Committee, the region’s leading business and civic organization, brings together top executives and institutions to drive inclusive economic growth, strengthen regional competitiveness and advance public-private initiatives that support business attraction, workforce development, innovation and long-term prosperity. As the GBC continues shaping a forward-looking regional agenda, Gilligan’s experience and relationships across commercial real estate, development and civic leadership will contribute to the organization’s strategic priorities.
“Morgan’s appointment reflects exactly the kind of private-sector leadership and regional commitment that strengthens the Greater Baltimore Committee’s work to drive meaningful economic growth across the Baltimore region,” said Mark Anthony Thomas, CEO of the Greater Baltimore Committee. “As a seasoned executive in the Mid-Atlantic commercial real estate sector, he brings both deep industry expertise and a proven record of collaboration that will be invaluable as the GBC advances its strategic priorities in business attraction, infrastructure and long-term competitiveness.”
Gilligan has also joined the board of the Living Classrooms Foundation, a regional nonprofit that disrupts the cycle of poverty and builds stronger communities by providing equitable access to education, workforce training, violence prevention programs and enrichment opportunities for youth and adults in Baltimore and Washington, D.C. Living Classrooms’ cross-sector model relies on partnerships between business leaders, educators and community stakeholders -- areas where Gilligan has been actively engaged for decades.
“We are pleased to welcome Morgan to our Board of Trustees. He brings a deep commitment to expanding opportunity for children, youth, and families across Baltimore and Washington, DC. His leadership, business experience and passion for community align very well with Living Classrooms’ mission, and we look forward to having Morgan aboard,” said James Piper Bond, president and CEO, Living Classrooms Foundation.
“I am honored to join the boards of the Greater Baltimore Committee and the Living Classrooms Foundation,” Gilligan said. “Both play a vital role in strengthening Baltimore, and I look forward to contributing to their important work and supporting the future we are all building for this region.”
The board appointments extend a long history of civic involvement for Gilligan who currently serves on the Downtown Partnership of Baltimore Board of Overseers and has previously served on the boards of The Baltimore School for the Arts, The Baltimore Station, Live Baltimore, the National Association of Industrial Office Properties, the Maryland Building Industry Association and the Urban Land Institute.
