EASTON, PA — New Eastwood Rehab & Healthcare Center in Easton marked the completion of a comprehensive modernization with a Grand Reopening in June. Located at 2125 Fairview Ave., the skilled nursing center has a long history of serving the regional community, providing post-hospital care, short-term rehab and long-term residential care.

Invited guests joined leadership of New Eastwood and Marquis Health Consulting Services at the invitation-only professional open house, including members of the center’s care team, local dignitaries, and healthcare leaders and colleagues. The Open House featured a ribbon-cutting ceremony with VIP participants including Wilson Borough Mayor Donald Barrett and Linda Grass, president of St. Luke’s Easton. Guests enjoyed tours of the renovated campus, as well as refreshments and entertainment.

“The New Eastwood and Marquis teams were honored to welcome all of our VIP guests to the center’s Grand Reopening – it was a perfect celebration and time of meaningful connection,” said Danielle Koons, regional vice president of market development, Pennsylvania, at Marquis, which supports the center. “New Eastwood’s modernization aligns with its goals to provide transformative skilled nursing care to the Northampton area and serve as an integral part of the Lehigh Valley healthcare community.”

A highlight of the modernization is its renovated rehab therapy gym, featuring state-of-the-art equipment and other technology to support the delivery of progressive rehab services. A spacious activities of daily living (ADL) suite mimics a home environment with a kitchen, bedroom and bathroom – enabling patients the opportunity to regain skills before returning home. Additionally, New Eastwood’s lobby and patient rooms in its short-term rehab wing have been remodeled. “The refresh provides a bright, new environment and modern amenities, pairing a high level of functionality with an uplifting aesthetic – it’s just gorgeous,” added Koons.

New Eastwood has an established reputation for quality.  It maintains a Five-Star Overall rating from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services and has earned accreditation for its quality care and services from The Joint Commission.

The center, a preferred provider of St. Luke’s University Health Network offers multiple specialty clinical initiatives, including RespiraCare pulmonary rehab and OrthoWin orthopedic rehab. Its CardioPro cardiac rehabilitation program is backed by its designation as an American Heart Association Heart Failure Certified Skilled Nursing Center.

Marquis Health Consulting Services provides administrative consulting services to skilled nursing facilities and senior living communities along the Eastern Seaboard. The company’s “Care, anew” philosophy supports its mission to help clients transform industry processes, mindsets and outcomes. Marquis-serviced skilled nursing centers have access to an evolving suite of clinician-led specialty care models, signature services and comfort features – enabling innovation, compassion and purpose in every aspect of care.
