Redgate hires Corbalis as director

WASHINGTON, DC — Redgate announced the hiring of Jay Corbalis as director. Reporting to executive VP and Mid-Atlantic market lead Leif Dormsjo, Corbalis will serve as a real estate advisor supporting clients across a broad range of redevelopment, infrastructure, transportation, and public-sector initiatives.

As director, Corbalis will support several of Redgate’s transit-oriented development assignments, including the State Center redevelopment in Baltimore City, New Jersey Transit’s Hoboken Ferry Terminal master development, and several joint development projects for the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA). He will also help clients navigate entitlement strategy, stakeholder engagement, infrastructure planning, and project execution from early planning through delivery.

Prior to joining Redgate, Corbalis served as VP of Public Affairs at JBG Smith, where he led transportation and infrastructure initiatives supporting the evolution of National Landing and negotiated major public-private agreements with local and regional agencies.

Corbalis holds a Master of Professional Studies in Real Estate Development from Georgetown University and a Bachelor of Science in Urban and Regional Studies from Cornell University. Throughout his career, he has been active in numerous industry and community organizations, including the Arlington Chamber of Commerce, National Landing BID, Virginians for High Speed Rail, Washington Airports Task Force, and Capital Trails Coalition.
