Carneys Point, NJ — Rockefeller Group has begun construction of Rockefeller Group Logistics Center at Carneys Point in Carneys Point, NJ. The project includes two buildings totaling 1,126,443 s/f.
Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank, Limited, NY Branch provided $114.8M million in construction financing to support the project.
“We have been actively pursuing sites within South Jersey,” said Heath Abramsohn, regional director for Rockefeller Group’s NJ/PA Region. “South Jersey represents an important industrial market for companies looking to distribute goods through the greater Mid-Atlantic and Northeast. The site provides easy access to The Port of NY and NJ, the Port of Philadelphia as well as the Port of Wilmington and the Port of Baltimore.”
Rockefeller Group assembled the 141-acre project from 13 separate parcels and 11 individual sellers closing on the site in 2022. The project includes extensive infrastructure improvements which will benefit the region.
Rockefeller Group was represented by broker Ryan Curran of Curran Commercial on the purchase and assemblage of the project.
The buildings were designed by M + H Architects with civil engineering provided by Langan Engineering & Environmental Services. The general contractor is FCL Builders.
