WASHINGTON, DC - Savills announces two significant real estate transactions on behalf of Tuckernuck, one of the country’s leading lifestyle brands. As a female-founded and operated company, Tuckernuck has grown from a townhouse in Georgetown to a national brand with a devoted following. This next chapter in its real estate journey reflects that evolution with an expanded headquarters at 1250 24th Street NW, where Tuckernuck now occupies the entire top floor and a ground-level photo studio for a combined 39,883 square feet, and a new 4,000-square-foot flagship retail lease at 1267 Wisconsin Avenue NW, anchoring a prominent corner in Georgetown.
Savills Managing Director Bailey Williams represented Tuckernuck in both transactions.
“These two transactions reflect the client’s long-term commitment to Washington, D.C., and it’s a pleasure to work alongside such a talented team, adding fresh energy and creativity to the retail landscape,” said Williams.
Founded in 2012, Tuckernuck is a digitally native brand offering a curated selection of apparel, accessories, home décor, and gifts with a timeless, American-inspired aesthetic. The company’s following spans consumers worldwide, drawn to a unique blend of editorial content and retail. Having operated its original 860-square-foot store in Georgetown since launch, the company signed a lease for a second location in New York City that opened this month, and now deepens its DC presence with a flagship opening later this Fall.
The new flagship is designed as an immersive experience that reflects the spirit of Georgetown. Incorporating historical wallpaper, custom millwork, and a residential feel, the store is designed to evoke the ambiance of a Georgetown home rather than a traditional retail environment. It features a VIP styling lounge for personalized shopping, a dedicated home and gifting section, stroller parking designed with local families in mind, and a layout that invites discovery and connection.
“These spaces support the evolution of our brand and the scale of our operations,” said Madeline Grayson, Tuckernuck co-founder. “Both our office and store extend Tuckernuck’s classic-meets-modern aesthetic into physical spaces, creating environments where our team can be inspired and our customers can feel at home in the Tuckernuck world.”
The expansion of Tuckernuck’s headquarters, which occurred fewer than three years after the company moved into the WWF Building, underscores its rapid growth and commitment to remaining close to its Georgetown roots. Within walking distance of both its original store and its new flagship, the HQ now supports more than 200 employees. The space was designed to boost creativity and collaboration, with a new design studio dedicated to product development, breakout lounges with a library-like feel, proprietary prints, and curated interiors that bring the brand to life. There are also neutral areas that balance the bold prints designers work with daily, a social media studio for content creation, and an inspiring new lobby featuring a design library for employees to draw upon.
The flagship retail lease, completed in January 2025, secured a rare corner site in Georgetown following the unexpected vacancy of the prior tenant. Savills negotiated terms quickly, closing ahead of competing interests. Surrounded by top-tier retailers, the store is set to open this Fall and marks a significant step in strengthening Tuckernuck’s regional presence.
GLN Associates, LP, property owner for the retail transaction at 1267 Wisconsin Avenue NW, was represented by Asadoorian Retail Solutions, while The World Wildlife Fund, owner of 1250 24th Street NW, was represented by JLL.
