BALTIMORE, MD — St. John Properties, Inc. has announced the promotion of Bill Holzman to senior vice president, retail leasing. Holzman joined St. John Properties in 2007, timed with the launch of its in-house Retail Leasing Division.
At the time of his hire, St. John Properties owned and managed two retail shopping centers – Lakeshore Plaza in Anne Arundel County and Lisbon Center in Howard County – and had initiated ground-up development activities for a new retail amenity to support the new Greenleigh mixed-use development in northern Baltimore County.
Holzman leads St. John Properties’ in-house retail leasing team, overseeing the identification and negotiation of leases with retailers that enhance and diversify the company’s shopping centers while providing valuable amenities for its business community tenants.
He also plays a key role in retail site acquisitions, due diligence, and site planning, and supports leasing efforts across St. John Properties’ regional offices nationwide.
Holzman, who has more than 30 years of direct retail leasing experience, earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Emory University, and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Baltimore School of Law. He is a member of commercial real estate association NAIOP Maryland and ICSC, the trade group serving the retail real estate sector.
“Bill is highly intuitive and has been the driving force behind the substantial and successful leasing of our Maryland and Pennsylvania-area retail properties,” stated St. John Properties President and CEO Lawrence Maykrantz. “He has successfully established and maintained relationships throughout the industry, and this effort is reflected in high retail occupancy levels. He continues to integrate valuable retail uses into our business communities and create diverse shopping center experiences.”
