Clifton NJ — The Stro Companies has successfully executed on a 220,000 s/f leasing transaction at 174 Delawanna in Clifton, a class A cold storage distribution facility. “We are thrilled to have consummated this transaction and are thankful for our leasing partners at CBRE, who represented ownership, and Lee and Associates Oakland CA office for representing the tenant,” said Jack Shulman, director of leasing, acquisitions, and capital markets.
The new tenant, Weee! Inc., is a direct to consumer online grocer that specializes in ethnic foods, specifically targeting Asian consumers. Weee!, after only a year in their 50,000 s/f Edison facility, had such significant growth in the NY metro market, that their real estate needs quadrupled. “They quickly became a hit with the very diverse demographic in the NY metro area.” They were specifically looking to create a regional hub to service the tri-state region and found that 174 Delawanna was an ideal property to serve their freezer, refrigeration, and dry warehousing needs,” said Shulman.
