Middletown, DE — Blenheim Group, the developers of the 1,500-acre Village of Bayberry master planned community in Middletown, announced Weis Markets will anchor the planned 280,000 s/f Bayberry Town Center.
Anticipated to open in 2025, Weis Markets will operate a 64,000 s/f supermarket and fuel facility in the retail center. Weis Markets is a Mid-Atlantic food retailer operating 197 stores in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, New Jersey, New York, West Virginia and Virginia. It currently operates three stores in Delaware.
The Village of Bayberry is a vibrant, first-class residential community located along Boyds Corner Road (Rt. 896) between Jamison Corner Rd. and Rtes. 1 & 13. The development includes almost 2,700 homes (1,700 sold) in an idyllic setting featuring 600 acres of open space that offers miles of walking paths, parks, playgrounds, picnic pavilions, lakes and several luxury clubhouses.
Breaking ground in 2024, Bayberry Town Center will provide much-needed goods and services to support Bayberry residents, as well as the surrounding, rapidly growing community. It is poised to be the largest grocery-anchored center in Middletown and elevate the area’s overall shopping and entertainment experience by delivering an intentional combination of grocery, upscale shopping, restaurants, services, banking and healthcare.
The center will also feature 31,000 s/f of professional office space, two beautiful green spaces for community programming, 145 townhomes on property and internal street and trail connectivity to 3,400 homes.
