 What was your greatest professional accomplishment in 2015?
Dealing with a “defeasance mortgage situation”
What was your most notable project, deal or transaction in 2015?
The sale of 126 apartments in conjunction with “flipping” 43 of them and dealing with defeasance
How do you manage the work/life balance?
I work like a dog during business hours and try not to work during “personal hours”
What impact has social media/networking had on your business? 
Print ads are no longer as popular. All advertising is through our website and “blasts”
Tell us how and when you began your career in the profession you are in, about your current position and why you chose the field/profession you are in today.
I was a vice president and REO portfolio manager for Midlantic Bank and was previously with The Howard Savings Bank. While at Midlantic, the future was uncertain as PNC was purchasing Midlantic. A colleague recommended me to Kislak, which I joined in 1996. 
What were some of your early goals and did anything happen in you career/profession to change them?
My goal has always been to establish and maintain a reputation of excellence. Once people believe in you and know that they can rely on you, business follows.
What qualities and/or personality traits do you feel make you most successful in your profession? 
My perseverance, determination, analytical, and organizational skills have contributed to my success.

I don’t take no for an answer.
What challenges and/or obstacles do you feel you needed to overcome to become as successful as you are today? 
It’s hard not to take it personally when you feel you aren’t being treated fairly. I work hard at not taking it personally.
Tell us about your family. 
I am married with two children: Julie, 27, and Matt, 25. I love that Julie is following in my footsteps at Kislak and is doing well. Matt is at Cerberus in their real estate investment group.
If you are the primary caregiver to your children what obstacles/challenges do you meet on a day to day basis? 
Given the ages of my children, I do not face the daily caregiver challenges. I am focused on helping Julie and Matt develop their careers.
What word of advice would you give to a woman about to go into your allied field?
I believe that if a woman is mentally tough (not easily intimidated) this can be a great profession. It is also important to be an expert in what you are selling so that your customers believe and trust in you.
