Hollister Construction Services reaches important milestone with Gill St. Bernard’s new recreational facility

April 4, 2016

GLADSTONE, NJ — Hollister Construction Services, a full-service construction manager specializing in educational, corporate, healthcare, industrial, residential and retail construction, just finished erecting the steel for Gill St. Bernard’s new 14,400 s/f Field House. The private, co-ed college preparatory school selected Hollister to build the new field house within its beautiful 208-acre campus in Gladstone, NJ.
After breaking ground earlier this year, Hollister has erected the structure of the new athletic facility. Constructed from a pre-engineered steel masonry building structure, the new multi-purpose recreational center and gymnasium will make its grand opening this summer of 2016, in time for the new school year.
The field house will house a multi-sport practice and game court, new locker rooms with 150 double-height lockers, new bathrooms, and a fitness and exercise facility with state-of-the-art visual displays. The facility will serve as the main gymnasium for Lower and Middle School students. The project includes major site-work and landscaping, as well as the installation of all new utility services required to support the new facility.
“This remarkable new facility will blend in well with the campus and be a powerful asset to Gill St. Bernard and its students,” said Kieran Flanagan, president at Hollister. “We are pleased to be able to support the school by bringing this project to completion swiftly and efficiently.”
Hollister continues to be a leader in the construction of educational facilities. The firm’s portfolio of notable projects includes K-12 private institutions, urban charter schools and higher-education institutions throughout the tri-state area. Most recently, the company completed five new charter schools located in Newark and Jersey City.
The Hollister team leading this effort includes Kieran Flanagan, project executive; Brian Lemchak, project manager; Michael Nappo, superintendent; Allison Koterba, project coordinator, and Frank Caputo, senior estimator. The project was designed by USA Architects with civil design by Dynamic Engineering Consultants.
