Philadelphia, PA — Bernardon announced a new milestone in the continued growth of the firm. This summer, the firm expanded into Center City Philadelphia with the opening of their new office at 1315 Walnut St. in The Philadelphia Building. The team placed a high priority on location for the new office, especially with regard to public transportation and local areas of interest.
“We are thrilled to strengthen our firm’s presence in the Philadelphia market,” said Neil B. Liebman, managing principal of the firm. “Our new office will allow us to better serve our existing and future clients in the metropolitan area, including those in New Jersey and throughout the Delaware Valley.” The design of the Philadelphia office reflects the cultural shift in corporate office spaces with every detail carefully considered in order to provide staff members with a top-notch working environment that promotes health, productivity, and a spirit of “fun.” A few extras at the office include stand-up desks, a lunch table that doubles as a ping pong table, and several collaborative “break-out” spaces. Bernardon brings to the city 43 years of experience in architecture, interior design, and landscape architecture for a wide range of market sectors, with a strong expertise in multifamily and mixed-use design. The firm currently has over 5,600 multifamily units in design or under construction in the region, and this number is expected to increase with the growing residential market in Center City.
The firm also has a growing portfolio of hospitality, health care, and higher education design, including several regional universities and institutions. Several Bernardon projects currently in development in Philadelphia include the new home of Philadelphia Distilling in Fishtown, opening in late 2016, and interior renovations to Edgewater Apartments.
Bernardon also has offices in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania and Wilmington, Delaware. A gala open house is planned at the new location this fall.
