What is your greatest professional accomplishment? In his young career, Adam has already reached a number of professional accomplishments he is proud of. He excelled in his schooling and graduated from Binghamton University with his Bachelors and obtained his Masters in Business Administration (MBA) with a focus in Accounting from Montclair State University. Shortly after, Adam obtained his Certified Public Accounting license, and was most recently promoted within the firm to Manager because of his work ethic and productivity. What is your most notable project, deal or transaction?

Adam was an integral member of a large and exciting project with Bell Works – the reimagining of the historic former Bell Labs building in Holmdel, NJ. The firm’s client was a real estate developer that acquired a very challenging project, a 2 million square foot empty office building that was the largest of its kind in New Jersey. When the firm’s client took on the risk, they enlisted Sax as their business advisor through the lifecycle of the project. Adam was instrumental in aiding the team in the set-up of Bell Work’s accounting system and putting in place the appropriate processes, procedures and tax planning. He was a true component to the successful execution of the project from inception to completion. The project was a tremendous success, and today the building is a one-of-a-kind destination for business and culture, complete with a blossoming ecosystem of technology, traditional offices, retail, dining, hospitality and much more. How do you contribute to your company and / or the industry?  Adam works closely with senior management to ensure exceptional client service and demonstrated results. He has excelled within Sax’s accounting department because of his intelligence, proactive approach and unwavering work ethic. Adam has been charged with the training of new members of the firm with a specialized focus on real estate due to his leadership skills and industry knowledge. Adam is involved with various real estate associations and participates in outside trainings focused on the industry to keep pace with the emerging trends and developments. Adam also frequently authors articles on various topics that are impacting the market. What unique qualities and or personality do you feel makes you most successful in your profession? When it comes to his clients, Adam is very empathic and seeks to provide them with the best assistance to meet their needs. His co-workers describe him as thorough, efficient and a true business advisor. As an upcoming leader in the firm, Adam is very approachable and exemplifies professionalism and a client first mindset, and is always ready and willing to learn and train. What impact has social media / networking had on your career? Adam believes networking has had a large impact on his career, and continues to be a vital asset.  Developing relationships within the industry has proved to benefit his broader knowledge of the market and the challenges and obstacles it faces.  Adam has also been able to leverage professional relationships to contribute additional resources and opportunities to the firm. Adam takes advantage of LinkedIn to further his relationships and widen his network.  He acknowledges this platform as an effective career tool and encourages younger professionals to leverage it as well. Tell us how and when you began your career in the profession you are in, about your current position and why you choose the field/profession you are in today? Adam truthfully did not always want to be accountant.  When he first began college, he was more interested in the route of medicine because he enjoyed his high school science classes and electives such as chemistry, anatomy and physiology.  However, after his freshmen year in college when he became exposed to more and more types of classes, he decided to go in another direction. The technical aspect of accounting is what drew Adam in initially.  He had a natural talent for the work and enjoyed learning and gaining experience in the field.  Since then, his passion for accounting has never waned and his dedication to the craft only intensifies as he assists more businesses, works on more projects and gains more knowledge. What outside activities do you enjoy during your free time? Adam recently became a new father, and spends his free time with his new family and changing diapers. What inspiring words of advice would you give to a young executive graduating from college?

Education shouldn’t stop after college. Always strive for continued learning and experience to improve upon your skill-sets and enhance your capabilities. College is the final stepping stone to your career, and you can truly excel through hard work and dedication. The only ceiling is the one you place above you.
