Hutchinson awarded Direct Install Contract with NJCP
CHERRY HILL, NJ — For the second time, Hutchinson has been awarded a multi-year contract for the Direct Install program offered through New Jersey’s Clean Energy Program (NJCEP). “We’re excited that the NJCEP has once again granted us the opportunity to serve as a designated Direct Install contractor where we can continue to provide businesses and government entities with cost-effective energy efficiency solutions,” said Ed Hutchinson, president of Hutchinson. “Because of the drastic savings and quick return on investment, Direct Install is in demand.” Direct Install is a turnkey energy efficiency solution created specifically for existing small to medium-sized facilities. Through Direct Install, Hutchinson’s specially trained contractors help businesses complete the application/agreement, perform the FREE energy assessment to identify eligible equipment replacements, and replace the equipment. Currently, the program pays up to 70% of retrofit costs on lighting, heating, cooling & ventilation (HVAC), refrigeration, motors, natural gas equipment and variable frequency drives. Direct Install is available to existing small to mid-sized commercial and industrial facilities with a peak electric demand that did not exceed 200 kW in any of the preceding 12 months. Buildings must be located in New Jersey and served by one of the state’s public, regulated electric or natural gas utility companies.
