“Work-life balance is to plan, plan, and plan again”

Tell us how and when you began your career in the profession you are in: After graduating with my Bachelor’s degree in Communications, I entered the world of B2B sales for the first four years. During that time, I thoroughly enjoyed helping clients navigate their business needs and solve their problems. I could see the change my efforts and the company’s services provided have done for them and I began wanting to help craft and distribute the message of how we could help other businesses on a larger level. I got involved in marketing committees during my sales time and really grew a passion for discovering new ways to reach our target markets and the art of messaging. In 2012, I was hired for a Marketing position at NAI Summit where I really got to focus and grow my knowledge. Sheepishly when I started at Summit, I didn’t know a lot about the industry. After some time as I learned more and more, my passion extended to Real Estate. Not only was I able to spread the word of how we can help with our various service lines, but I was also a part of promoting our region which I feel very fervent about as well. It has been the perfect match ever since! What is your current position? My current position at NAI Summit is Director of Marketing. I am responsible for the marketing of all available properties in our portfolio from sales and leasing to investment and development opportunities. Furthermore, I am responsible for marketing all service lines our premier full service firm offers including brokerage, property management, accounting services, consulting, and building services. Other components of my position include advertising, sponsorships, presentations, proposals, research, content creation, social media, branding, and developing marketing strategies and tactics to promote business.
