WASHINGTON, DC — Airtower Networks, the nation’s premier provider of wireless connectivity solutions for real estate owners and operators, has added Hyundai and Skanska to its client roster, having signed agreements to install wireless infrastructure at the former’s manufacturing plant in Savannah, GA, and at the latter’s office project in Bellevue, WA.

At the Hyundai plant, where EVs and hybrids will be mass-produced, Airtower will construct a public safety network for seamless, reliable first responder systems that will ensure compliance with fire codes and keep operations running smoothly. The network will also allow Hyundai to bring new campus buildings online in a cost-effective manner.

At The Eight, Skanska’s 25-story, 540,000 s/f office tower in Bellevue, WA Airtower is installing both cellular coverage and emergency responder communication enhancement systems (ERCES). The systems are the first converged network to have ever been approved in the jurisdiction, and they have contributed to the property’s WiredScore Platinum rating. The 5G Cellular system, in particular, enables Skanska to offer tenants what it describes as a “fully connected building and reliable technology that has space to evolve.”

“It’s an honor to partner with companies like Hyundai and Skanska, both of whom are leaders in their fields,” said Craig Gillespie, chief executive officer of Airtower. “But what makes this work especially satisfying is that they understand how important connectivity is for occupants, tenants, and employees.”

He continues: “The traditional real estate consideration of location, location, location may still be the major deciding factor for buying or leasing, but we at Airtower would argue that connectivity, connectivity, connectivity is close behind.”
