Allendale Senior Living Gets a new look and amenities

ALLENDALE, NJ — A multi-million-dollar renovation is underway at Allendale Senior Living, bringing a new look and fresh programming to this Northern NJ continuum-of-care assisted living and healthcare campus. The repositioning follows a rebranding at Allendale Senior Living – formerly The Allendale Community for Mature Living.

Marquis Health Consulting Services, which provides administrative and consulting services to Allendale Senior Living, has partnered with the community’s in-house leadership to develop and implement a large-scale program to modernize the community and take its amenities and services to a new level – one that reflects the evolving preferences of today’s seniors.

Allendale Senior Living has long been a destination for seniors seeking a fulfilling lifestyle, with access to the services they need when they need them – including onsite rehab care. “Allendale Senior Living was among the first campuses of its kind in North Jersey, and today remains one of the only continuum-of-care communities in the region,” said Lauren Everett, VP of senior living services for Marquis. “Our vision is to offer residents the best of what is trending in assisted living, including upscale residences, resort-style amenities and distinctive lifestyle options.”

Located on 12 acres in a Bergen County neighborhood, the campus at 85 Harreton Rd. spans 146,000 s/f. Michael Lebovics of ML Group spearheaded the design transformation of the building’s physical spaces. “The overall look and feel is very clean and modern, with stone floors, wood and metal accents, and a sophisticated mix of textures and colors,” said Lebovics, whose firm has extensive experience renovating both senior communities and boutique multifamily properties.

Residents are already enjoying a number of completed campus improvements, including the fully renovated lobby and main dining room. “The corridors reflect a temporary refresh and will be renovated following the reconfiguration and expansion of some the apartments,” said Everett. She noted that work is almost finished on the residences, which have upgraded bathrooms, kitchenettes, flooring and lighting.

New features will include two lounges and a bar/bistro area on the second floor, as well as a private dining room, salon and makers’ room. The community’s movie theater will also get a complete makeover, as will the outdoor courtyards and landscaping.

In addition, Allendale’s Memory Care neighborhood has been completely reimagined, relocating closer to the main Assisted Living. It will feature a secure courtyard, dining room, activity room and lounge space.
