Atkins Cos. acquires healthcare and wellness building to expand its presence in Southern NJ


Washington Twp. — Atkins Companies, a multigenerational commercial real estate development, investment, and property management firm, announced the acquisition of the Washington Medical Arts Building, a 70,000± s/f medical office building located at 405 Hurffville Cross Keys Rd. in Washington Township.

Located in the heart of Gloucester County, the Washington Medical Arts Building is a two-story, class A building that is currently leased to a variety of healthcare and wellness tenants including Weisman Children’s, Rowan Medicine, Select Surgical Center and Jefferson Health.

Steps from Jefferson Washington Township Hospital, the largest of Jefferson Health’s three New Jersey hospitals, the modern and adaptable building is ideally suited to the diverse needs of healthcare or wellness tenants. The property is also strategically framed by Rtes. 42, 55 and 322 providing easy access and convenience for patients throughout Washington Township and surrounding areas.

The acquisition is Atkins Companies' latest investment in Washington Township. Located one mile from the Washington Medical Arts Building, the Washington Square Town Center community was developed by Atkins Companies in a joint venture partnership with Woodmont Properties. The property’s innovative mixed-use design centered on a 40,000 s/f state-of-the-art medical office building anchored by Rothman Orthopaedics, plus an additional 22,000 s/f of retail space leased to healthcare tenants.
