Baltimore, MD — Greenberg Gibbons has appointed Chris Edgar as VP of Capital Strategy. In this newly created position, he will play a key role in spurring the firm’s continued growth, overseeing investor relations and strategic fundraising initiatives across the organization.
“Adding Chris to our leadership team will help build on the success of our first private equity fund and strengthen our existing investor relationships, while expanding our capital foundation for the next phase of Greenberg Gibbons’ growth,” said Eric Walter, president of Greenberg Gibbons. “His expertise will be invaluable in forging new partnerships and position the firm to pursue broader, more dynamic investment opportunities in the years ahead.”
Edgar will lead efforts to expand the firm’s investor base, focusing on Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) networks, pension funds, and other institutional partners. Edgar brings a decade of experience in capital markets, fundraising, and institutional investor relations. Prior to joining Greenberg Gibbons, he served as Vice President of Capital Raising for Center Street Companies, where he led global fundraising efforts across institutional and private wealth channels for a multi-platform alternative investment firm. Edgar has previously held roles at Sandlot Partners and Ninety One, driving capital formation and managing relationships with RIAs, family offices, and institutional investors. Earlier in his career, he spent several years with J.P. Morgan Asset Management, supporting institutional clients across a wide range of investment strategies. He is a CFA and CAIA charterholder.
