Washington, DC - Colliers facilitated the lease of an 18,567 s/f newly renovated office space located at 6550 Rock Spring Dr. to the Grossberg Company. Colliers partnered with Rock Spring Properties to deliver a premier workplace designed to attract and support high-performing tenants like the Grossberg Company, positioning them for long-term growth and success.

Colliers’ Nate Crowe and Katie Datin represented the landlord, Rock Spring Properties, providing strategic leasing guidance, market intelligence, and transaction expertise, which helped differentiate the property and ultimately secure the Grossberg Company’s long-term commitment.  Rock Spring Properties is a long-term owner of real estate and their holdings include six buildings within Rock Spring Park. The tenant, Grossberg Company, is one of DC’s premier providers of accounting, tax and business consulting services.

Located within Rock Spring Park, the property offers access to Bethesda, Washington, DC, Northern Virginia and Frederick from its position at the intersection of I-270, I-495 and Old Georgetown Rd.

Prior to the lease, Colliers served as a advisor on the multi- million renovation program, which repositioned the property and enhanced its appeal to prospective tenants.  The renovation program included adding a new entry sequence, lobby, state of the art shared conference room, podcast room, Zoom room and tenant lounge. The property has an on-site fitness center with showers and towel service.

“Today’s office users are looking for more than a lease. They want a workplace backed by ownership that is committed to delivering long-term value,” said Nate Crowe, Senior Vice President at Colliers. “Rock Spring Properties shares that philosophy, investing thoughtfully in its assets and taking a forward-looking approach to ownership. That commitment helped make 6550 Rock Spring an attractive solution for the Grossberg Company and will continue to benefit tenants for years to come.”

The transaction follows a recently completed transactions of approximately 20K SF, including a new lease with Brightmont Academy, along with a renewal with Business Integra in Rock Spring Park.

“We are excited to welcome the Grossberg Company to 6550 Rock Spring,” said William S. Stevens, Executive Vice President of Rock Spring Properties. “This lease reflects our ongoing commitment to invest in high-quality workplace environments, which augment tenant’s ability to both attract and retain top talent. By partnering with Colliers, we were able to strategically implement this multi-million dollar investment to strengthen the property's competitive position, while creating a workplace experience to align with the needs of today’s tenants.”

This new lease highlights the flight-to-quality trend despite limited demand for new office projects. According to Colliers’ 2026 Q2 Suburban Maryland Office Market Report, the market continues to rebalance through the demolition and conversion of aging or financially distressed assets.
