Cost Recovery Solutions’ Tawfik earns ASCSP credential

Tinton Falls, NJ — Cost Recovery Solutions LLC (CRS), one of the premier providers of tax-saving consulting and valuation services for commercial property owners and tenants, announced that senior project engineer Hazem Tawfik has been credentialed as a full member of the American Society of Cost Segregation Professionals (ASCSP). The ASCSP was created to provide organizational oversight, education and the highest level of ethical and technical principles in the industry. It establishes a measurable standard by which cost segregation consultants are evaluated from both a business practice standpoint as well as actual quality of deliverables.

Hazem, a graduate of NJIT with a degree in mechanical engineering, began his career with CRS in 2018. To achieve the level of full ASCSP member, Hazem was required to pass a rigorous exam after gaining at least one year of industry experience and at least 1,000 hours of direct cost segregation project experience. Next year he will be eligible to become a Certified Cost Segregation Professional (CCSP), the highest credential in the industry. To achieve that designation, members work in the business for at least seven years, log at least 7,000 hours of direct cost segregation project experience and then pass another demanding exam covering technical/engineering, legal, tax, ethical and other relevant industry issues. With approximately 6,500 hours under his belt to date, Hazem is well on his way to achieving the prestigious CCSP credential.

Hazem is the main contact for CRS’ new Southeast Region office in Clearwater, Florida and serves CRS clients throughout the country.
