ULI NNJ names Limbrick and Johnson as Co-Chairs

Duo to lead brownfield redev. and CRE communications

Montvale, NJ — Urban Land Institute (ULI) Northern New Jersey announced the appointment of Elizabeth Limbrick, director of brownfields and sustainable systems at New Jersey Economic Development Authority (NJEDA), and Dan Johnson, account director for R&J Strategic Communications, as district council co-chairs for FY25-FY27.

As director of Brownfields & Sustainable Systems for the NJEDA, Limbrick leads the Authority’s efforts on brownfields to create thriving and inclusive communities by addressing environmental and economic justice issues using holistic integrated approaches. Elizabeth is responsible for developing and administering the $300MM Brownfield Redevelopment Incentive tax credit program, supporting real estate development initiatives, and leading the Authority’s efforts on Environmental Justice and Climate Resilience strategies. Limbrick has served as a dedicated volunteer with ULI NNJ since 2021 and has worked closely with the organization’s Women’s Leadership Initiative.

Johnson leads the commercial real estate practice for R&J Strategic Communications, a Bridgewater based full-service integrated marketing and public relations agency. In his role with R&J Strategic Communications, he serves as a trusted counselor to some of the region's most prominent commercial real estate and professional service businesses. Working closely with senior executives, Johnson’s leadership and strategic thinking allow clients to embrace a mix of paid, earned, social and owned communications tactics to capitalize on opportunities in the competitive northern New Jersey real estate market. Johnson has most recently served as PR Chair for the ULI NNJ District Council Advisory Board and has served as an UrbanPlan volunteer and city council member with the organization’s East Brunswick High School program since its inception.

After four years as district council co-chairs, Thomas Trautner, member chair, Redevelopment, Land Use and Zoning at CSG Law, and Anthony Ianuale, chief operating officer/chief financial officer at Dresdner Robin will transition off their current roles to serve as Governance co-chairs.
